Rules

The school rules are recognised by everyone.

The three main rules are:

  1. Keep your hands and your feet to yourself
  2. Respect all people
  3. Respect all property

In order for Glencoe Junior School to operate as a happy hard-working community, we also expect all the children to:

  • move around school: on the left calmly and quietly
  • make sure all their property has their name on it
  • eat only cereal bars and fruit at play-time – sweets may not be brought into school.
  • bring drinks in a plastic container
  • only use balls sold in the School Office and skipping ropes at playtimes. No other toys can be brought in.  Mobile phones, sunglasses and toys are not permitted.
  • make sure that the only jewellery worn is:
    i) a watch
ii) one pair of stud ear-rings
  • not wear nail varnish or make-up in school
  • wear sensible footwear – not open toes and sling-backs – heels should be no higher than 2.5 cm (1 inch)
